Program permission:	Enrollment of students at the first level of academic higher education (undergraduate programs) is conducted based on the results of unified national exams or the order of the Minister of Education and Science of Georgia No. 224/N (December 29, 2011), passing administrative registration and the order of the presidents. The goal of the program is to train highly competent psychologists whose knowledge is based on liberal-humanistic values, equipping them to achieve success through honest work.
Program goals:	The goal of the bachelor's program in psychology is to prepare psychologists with a broad profile, providing them with knowledge in the main areas of scientific psychology; basic mental processes and their characteristic regularities; stages of human mental development and their peculiarities, regularities of interpersonal and intergroup relations existing in social reality; The essence of personality and the theories surrounding its research, about the appropriateness of human behavior according to the general psychological theory of attitude; In addition, - they will be able to apply the general principles of research production within the framework of professional ethics, to select research features and specific methods, to plan, conduct, and process and analyze real empirical research. Graduates of the program will be able to be employed as a psychologist-assistant and assistant psychologist in the fields such as human resources management services of any state and private organization (banks, corporations, ministries, pharmacy chains, store chains), kindergartens and schools, training centers, research organizations, services of psychological consultants of educational institutions, counseling and rehabilitation centers and clinics for children and adults.

Learning outcomes:	Knowledge and understanding The graduate has the knowledge of the science of psychology, subject, main branches (labour and organizational, clinical, social, development), history of development and professional ethical norms, general psychological theory - knowledge of conceptual, methodological and experimental aspects of D. Uznadze's Theory of Attitude; The graduate has knowledge of basic concepts of psychology, mental processes (perception, memory, thinking, imagination, emotion, will), functions of cognitive processes, their main theories, models, approaches, physiological and evolutionary aspects of behavioral processes; The graduate has the knowledge about basic methodological and methodical system of scientific research in psychology, the basic principles of scientific research (criterion of truth, objective accessibility and verifiability) and methods (observation, self-observation, diary, content analysis, experiment, case study, interview, questionnaire, scale, test, survey and focus group), the results of the conducted research and the principles of data processing Skills The graduate can compare and analyze personal structures in terms of different theories of personality (psychoanalysis, analytical psychology, object-relations theory, individual psychology, humanistic psychoanalysis, neo-psychoanalytic theories, psychosocial development theory, theories of personality traits: Allport, Cattel, Hans Eysenck, five-factor model of personality, humanistic, temperament theory , phenomenological, behavioral, social learning), as well as analyze and evaluate the regularities of individual behavior in the social environment; The graduate can use the method of observation at different age stages of human development in accordance with predetermined instructions; The graduate can plan and conduct a small research using the methods (observation, self-observation, diary, content analysis, experiment, case study, interview, questionnaire, scale, test, survey and focus group) provided by the course in accordance with the predetermined instructions; The graduate can analyze and process the results of the research carried out in psychology (observation, self-observation, diary, content analysis, experiment, case study, interview, questionnaire, scale, test, survey and focus group); The graduate can process and analyze the data of quantitative research carried out in psychology using the SPSS computer program - descriptive and inferential statistics, one-factor and one-dimensional analysis of variance, multi-factor and multi-dimensional analysis of variance, factor analysis, non-parametric tests, regression analysis, discriminant analysis, hierarchical, through two-stage cluster analysis and suitability analysis; The graduate can communicate with specialists and non-specialists about the results of his own research in psychology, the regularities of the main fields (labour and organizational, clinical, social, development), the history of development, features of mental and cognitive processes, personality theories. Responsibility and autonomy The graduate has an established attitude regarding the need to observe professional ethical norms, confidentiality, anonymity, informed consent, "do no harm" principle; The graduate can efficiently search for and analyze psychological scientific articles and resources to identify their professional growth needs, support self-development, and progress to the next level of study.

Program details:	In addition to the humanitarian-social and STEM blocks, students have the opportunity to accumulate 96 additional credits through specialization, optional program components, or free credits. The program is designed to allow for differentiation among students based on their language competencies. The student's English language level is determined based on the assessment received in the unified national exams and the internal exam, allowing them to start at the appropriate stage corresponding to their knowledge. The maximum raw score determined on the unified national exam If 63% is achieved, the student is admitted to the B1/1 level of English; In case of receiving 64% to 86% - at B1/2 level; In case of receiving 87% to 100% - at B2/1 level. If a student scores above 93%, they will be required to take a language proficiency test. If a student achieves the required threshold score, he/she can register at the B2/2 level of English. If the student does not pass the threshold, he/she will be admitted at the B2/1 level. In case of obtaining more than 93%, if the student does not appear for the test, he/she will be admitted at the B2/1 level.
Teaching Process Characteristics:	To obtain the academic degree of Bachelor, the student needs to complete 240 credits, which means 144 ECTS from the main subjects of the program; 6 ECTS from humanitarian-social block and 6 ECTS from STEM block; 18 ECTS free credits; The mentioned change does not apply to students who were enrolled before 2021 among the 66 ECTS program elective subjects (which are thematically structured). The language of instruction of the program is Georgian, with separate English-language components. Therefore, the majority of components are delivered in Georgian, except for courses that utilize English-language literature.
