These criteria guide the school board's decision-making process regarding the admission of candidates into the doctoral program.
Program goals:

The primary goal of the program is to train highly skilled specialists capable of employing ethical competence, pertinent theories, and research methodologies within the complex and interdisciplinary field of philology. These specialists will possess the ability to apply these tools effectively in practical settings, acquiring the necessary knowledge for a holistic understanding of the complex relationship between the interdisciplinary dimensions of philological thought, particularly the intersection of linguistics and literary studies. They will excel in assimilating and critically analyzing information, while also expanding the boundaries of philological thought by synthesizing elements from the humanities (linguistics) and social sciences (social and cultural anthropology). This fusion will enable them to present significant societal phenomena in organized frameworks.

Furthermore, the program aims to instill the capacity to generate and implement innovative and integrative research to address contemporary philological challenges. Graduates will also be well-equipped to develop and deliver university-level courses, adhering to modern standards of teaching and evaluation.

A Doctor of Philology, thus prepared, will find opportunities for employment in various scientific research institutions, both governmental and non-governmental, that focus on contemporary philological issues. Alternatively, they can pursue careers in higher education, engaging in teaching and research within institutions of higher learning.
