Program goals:

The program aims at training a proficient individual, equipped with the requisite competencies and practical aptitudes indispensable for organizing and executing archaeological expeditions. The achievement of the set goal is served by the formation of research and practical skills appropriate for the level of master's education, which is ensured by the synthesis of the modern, time-oriented theoretical and practical courses of the program.

Competencies developed within the program give the graduate the opportunity to be employed in scientific-research institutes, archaeological expeditions, the National Agency for Cultural Heritage Protection, museums or other public and/or private structures and non-governmental organizations working on cultural heritage issues. The master’s Program in Archeology provides training in accordance with modern standards of archaeological research and preparation of a competitive professional with a broad and thorough knowledge of the field.

The program's flexibility, encompassing specialized modules such as Stone and Bronze Age, Ancient Era, Chalcolithic, and Neolithic, augments the master's students' expertise in their chosen domains. The academic resources and training components entwined within the curriculum further paves the way for postgraduate scholars to embark on advanced studies at the doctoral level, either within their chosen discipline or in adjacent fields like cultural heritage management, paleontology, or anthropology.
