Program permission: | English language requirement ( B1 Level ) and other legal requirements. In particular, Georgian citizens must successfully pass Unified Entry Examinations. Foreign Applicants who have received a full general secondary education abroad, or its equivalent, and / or in the last two years of general secondary education have been studied abroad, or students who have lived abroad for the past two or more years and are studying abroad in the higher education institutions recognized by the host country's laws, will be able to transfer to this program without passing Unified Entry Exams according to the order (№ 224 / N Ministry of Education and Science, December 29, 2011). In the case if applicants do not have an English language certificate FCE (First Certificate in English) their English language competency will be determined by the university through the university exams, with a minimum threshold of 45%. |
Program goals: | The objective of the program is to promote effective operation of the healthcare system by educating of qualified and highly competent nurses. By offering program-integrated theoretical and practical courses, the program will allow graduates to acquire basic knowledge of nursing theory and methodology, develop clinical skills, ability to adapt to changing requirements, pursue life-long learning and continuous professional development, as a result of which a nurse will be able to carry on independent professional activity. Graduates of the Nursing program can be employed by medical preventive institutions with different profiles (emergency aid, resuscitation, surgery, therapy, urology, pediatrics, obstetrics, gynecology, psychiatry, gastroenterology, cardiology, oncology), hospices, non-governmental organizations, ethical committees, etc. |

Program details: | The program includes theoretical and laboratory studies, as well as 90 ECTS clinical practices. Clinical practices are conducted at the medical facilities of various profile by the clinical practice mentors. Laboratory and practical groups do not exceed 15 students. For evaluation of professional skills at the simulation and clinical environment are used the structured evaluation systems. |
