Program permission: Admission to the program is open to Georgian and/or foreign citizens based on: Results of the Unified National Examinations, or Cases described in the Order №224/N of the Minister of Education and Science of Georgia (December 29, 2011), which allows enrollment without passing Unified National or General Master’s Exams. Student mobility is conducted in accordance with Order №10/N of the Minister of Education and Science of Georgia (February 4, 2010). Student enrollment is carried out according to the university’s internal regulations, following administrative registration and an official order of the Rector. According to Order №224/N, proof of English language proficiency may be provided by submitting an internationally recognized certificate: TOEFL iBT – minimum score 72 IELTS – minimum score 5.5 PTE General – minimum level B2 FCE – minimum level B Alternatively, passing a university-organized English language exam (at least 70% of the maximum score) is acceptable. To enroll in the program, applicants must: Successfully pass a creative exam (submission of a thematic artwork) Demonstrate English language proficiency at B2 level
Program goals:

The aim of the program is to prepare professional graphic designers capable of effectively solving visual and communication problems in both local and global markets. Graduates will use contemporary design principles and technological tools to create high-quality advertising, artistic, and print products, including web design, motion graphics, and visual content for social media. 
Through a combination of compulsory courses and practical work tailored to the program’s specifics, graduates will develop teamwork, communication, and professional responsibility skills and fully adapt to the dynamic digital market, enabling them to work effectively in web studios, digital agencies, and multimedia companies.

Learning outcomes:
Knowledge and understanding
  • Upon completion of the program, student:

    • Describes and analyzes the main stages and theoretical principles of the formation and development of graphic design and visual communication/media art and connects them to contemporary cultural and technological trends;
    • Describes creative principles, methods, and terminology in graphic design and relates them to classical fine arts principles, including practical application aspects;
    • Identifies and differentiates key digital-technological groups of computer graphics and explains the operating principles of computer hardware components;
    • Reviews artistic and creative processes and trends in the advertising/communication creative industry, including forms and technologies of graphic design.

  • Skills
  • Upon completion of the program, student:

    • Creates print and digital design projects aligned with contemporary artistic trends using technical and technological tools, considering communication objectives for portfolios and online/offline platforms;
    • Identifies artistic-technological problems and print-specific features, analyzes them, and resolves them during digital or print creative projects;
    • Develops structural drawings within multimedia projects, manages spatial composition, and ensures visual balance and consistency through deliberate use of compositional elements;
    • Develops typographic and visual components of graphic design, including branding, logos, posters, and book design, ensuring consistency of composition, style, and visual hierarchy across projects;
    • Presents and discusses projects, providing well-argued explanations of design decisions to a professional audience.
