Program permission: Enrollment of students at the second level of academic higher education (master's programs) is carried out on the basis of the results of common master's exams or in accordance with the order No. 224/N (December 29, 2011) of the Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, successfully passing the English language (written), specialty oral and practical exams, on the basis of administrative registration and the order of the rector.
Program goals:

The program aims to prepare highly qualified cybersecurity specialists with in-depth knowledge in specific subdisciplines, including: cloud, network, application and physical security, penetration testing and risk management. The program combines theoretical training and practical skills so that graduates can analyze, prevent and manage real-world cyber threats in both local and global markets. Graduates will be able to find employment as cybersecurity specialists: auditor, analyst, cloud solutions platform security expert, cybersecurity operations specialist, software security specialist, penetration testing expert, and more.

Knowledge and understanding
    • Describes software and cloud security requirements and related cyber threats;
    • Discusses the role, functions, and risk assessment methods of auditing;
    • Describes the basic principles of systems theory and the systems approach, as well as processes for assessing the performance and reliability of complex systems;
    • Explains physical security principles, components, and security controls;

  • Skills
    • Develops security requirements for software;
    • Ensures security/protection of cloud solutions networks, proper identity and access configuration, infrastructure and data;
    • Plans and conducts information systems audits - presents results in report and presentation format;
    • Uses various methods and technologies to identify cyber threats;
    • Performs penetration testing in the full cycle - from reconnaissance, to privilege escalation or trace coverage - using appropriate methods and tools;

  • Responsibility and autonomy
    • Within the framework of professional activities, makes independent and substantiated decisions in accordance with ethical principles in the process of responding to cyber threats, data protection and determining security policies;
    • Develops innovative cybersecurity solutions in a field context, based on modern research methods and technologies.

    Teaching Process Characteristics:

    The program consists of 120 ECTS credits, with 102 ECTS allocated to core subjects and 18 ECTS to elective subjects. The total number of elective subjects amounts to 108 ECTS, from which the student must choose 18 ECTS. In the core part of the program, the student is required to complete a Master's thesis (30 ECTS).
