Program permission: | For Georgian Citizens: Admission to the second cycle of academic higher education (Master’s programs) is based on the results of the Unified Master’s Examinations or in accordance with Order No. 224/N issued by the Minister of Education and Science of Georgia on December 29, 2011. Students are admitted through administrative registration and the corresponding orders of university presidents. For Foreign Citizens: Foreign applicants who meet any of the following criteria are eligible for admission without passing the Unified Master’s Examinations, as stipulated by Order No. 224/N of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia (December 29, 2011): • Completion of a full bachelor’s degree or its equivalent abroad; • Enrollment in a foreign higher education institution recognized by the legislation of the host country during the last two years; • Residence in a foreign country for at least the past two years while studying at a recognized higher education institution abroad. Additional Admission Criteria: All applicants must pass a specialty-specific interview. Detailed topics for the interview are available on the official website of the University of Georgia: ug.edu.ge. English Language Proficiency: Applicants are required to demonstrate English language proficiency at a B2 level. Proficiency can be confirmed through the following internationally recognized certificates: • TOEFL iBT: Minimum score of 72–80; • IELTS: Minimum score of 5.5; • PTE General: Minimum level B2; • FCE: Minimum level B. For candidates without a certificate, the University of Georgia will administer an internal English language test equivalent to the B2 level. Achieving a minimum score of 70% on this test will be considered sufficient to confirm competence in English. |
Program goals: | The goal of the programme is to prepare highly qualified specialists in the field of education administration in alignment with contemporary educational standards and requirements. The programme aims to equip graduates with advanced knowledge and professional competencies in areas such as education system management, policy development, leadership, financing, pedagogical practices, and addressing challenges for effective operation within dynamic and complex educational environments. A key focus of the programme is fostering the ability to apply theoretical knowledge acquired through core educational courses and specialization modules in practical settings. Specifically, the programme emphasizes the development of analytical and research skills essential for managing educational institutions and making informed, evidence-based decisions. The programme is designed to cultivate future leaders capable of assuming managerial roles in general and higher educational institutions, governmental and non-governmental organizations, consulting firms, and training centers at both national and international levels. |
