Program permission: Enrollment of students in the second level of academic higher education (Master’s programs) is conducted based on the results of common master's exams or, by the Order of the Minister of Education and Science No. 224/N (December 29, 2011), through the following process: Successfully passing the English Language (Written) Exam Oral Interview, Administrative Registration, Approval by Presidential Order. To confirm the level of English proficiency, the following international certificates are accepted: TOEFL IBT: Minimum score of 80 IELTS: Minimum score of 6.5 PTE General: Minimum level of B2 FCE: Minimum level of B CPE: Passing is sufficient CAE: Passing is sufficient Students who have successfully completed the B2/2 level of English at the University of Georgia will also be recognized as meeting the English language requirement. For students without an English language proficiency certificate, the University of Georgia will administer a B2-level test. Achieving a score of at least 70% on this test will be considered as proof of competence.
Program goals:

The aim of the Master’s Program in Human Capital Management and Digital Transformation is to provide private and public organizations with qualified middle- and senior-level HR managers necessary for their effective functioning, who have deep and systemic knowledge of human capital management based on innovative and modern trends, a business vision, skills in collecting, processing, and using data in the HR field, and digital integration skills; who are able to contribute to the creation of an organizational culture based on respect and meritocratic values and demonstrate effective professional relations. The graduate can be employed in private and public organizations in middle- or senior-level positions, such as: HR Business Partner, HR Generalist, HR Manager, HR Analyst, etc. The graduate of the program has the competence to develop in an academic direction, continue studies, research, and scientific activities at the doctoral level. The Master’s Program in Human Capital Management and Digital Transformation is based on the so-called T-shaped competency model for human resource management professionals developed by the Academy to Innovate HR (AIHR) and is oriented toward preparing a competitive professional, which is reflected in the development of the graduate’s Business Acumen, Digital Agility, Data Literacy, and human capital skills. Most courses, in addition to theory and research, include simulations and role-playing games, discussion of real situations (case studies), project creation, consultations, etc.

  • • (Functional Competencies) critically examines the role of job analysis and planning in personnel selection, evaluation, development, compensation management, and the creation of a safe working environment.

    • Critically discusses the importance of integrating roles and teams within the organizational structure and the methodologies for managing tech teams in the process of organizational transformation (Agile, Scrum, Kanban, Waterfall).

    • (Business Acumen) analyzes the constantly changing environment, the labor market, and the competitor landscape in order to develop relevant HR strategies, processes, and practices.

    • (People Advocacy) applies knowledge of leadership, power, and conflicts to establish diverse, equal, and inclusive (DEI) labor practices.

    • (Data Literacy) independently plans research/a research project, selects the research design and methods, processes data, analyzes it through HR analytics and research methods, builds a narrative around it, prepares evidence-based conclusions/recommendations, and presents them to decision-makers in compliance with academic standards in order to support the achievement of organizational goals and employee well-being.

    • (Digital Integration) diagnoses/models key business processes for the purpose of preparing tasks for the technical team and participates in the digitalization of HR processes.

    Teaching Process Characteristics:

    To obtain the academic degree of Master of Management, the student is required to accumulate 120 (ECTS) credits. To receive the Master of Management diploma, the student must complete the core courses of the Master’s Program in Human Capital Management and Digital Transformation (102 ECTS), including the Master’s Research Project (18 ECTS) and elective courses (18 ECTS).
