• has a thorough knowledge of achievements in the political science, including those of interdisciplinary research and of close linkages between the political philosophy (theory) and other fields such as the political economy or comparative politics, that contributes to knowledge proliferation. 
• can re-evaluate the existing knowledge in political science, in particular on topics such as state and state institutions, democratization, identity and state internal factors affecting the dynamics of international relations. 
• has a knowledge of current research priorities in political science, scientific methodology, in particular the methodological differences, limitations and commonalities existing between the rational choice and sociological approaches.
• has a solid knowledge of the philosophy of science (types of scientific picture of universe, their structural differences and functions, evolution of the scientific picture, features of evolutionary paradigms, the essence of historic, systemic, sociological and anthropocentric paradigms, causes of the paradigm change.
• knows modern standards of research design, general methodology and qualitative method selection.
• knows the techniques of preparation and conducting of HEI (Higher Education Institution) courses in compliance with modern evaluation strategies; 

After the program completion, the doctor can:

• develop analytical (general and very specific) models that are based on major research approaches, including those of methodological complementarism.   
• independently plan, execute and monitor research in various thematic fields of the political science, i.e. state political regimes, democracy and democratic transition, conflicts, international political system and political economy.
• develop and implement teaching and general class activities.
• apply arguments drawn from different theories in political science and philosophy (logical positivism, falsification, scientific revolutions, induction, realism) and assess argument validity while crosschecking the relevant scientific theories.
• identify the causal linkages based o the theoretical and systemic analysis of relevant, actual and problematic research topics in political science. 
• engage in written communication about scientific research findings with the professional community, academic standards for scientific publications, strategic communications, and engaging in polemics with a professional audience. Ability to plan and implement educational lecture activities

• conducts research focused on the creation of new, interdisciplinary knowledge based on the innovative synthesis of relevant information for the field while protecting appropriate values ​​(protection of academic ethics norms and integrity, development of democratic and civic values), as well as finding new values ​​based on the recognition of fundamental scientific, academic and humanitarian values—/Establishment, as well as the implementation of new research projects.
