Program permission: Admission criteria/ prerequisite (for the citizens of Georgia): The students are enrolled on the bachelor programs on the basis of the results of the national entrance exams or on the basis of the decree №224/ნ (December 29, 2011) of the Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, on the basis of the administrative registration and the decree of the University presidents. Special requirement: minimal range of score is – 80 points, obtained at the national entrance exams in the English language. Admission criteria/ prerequisites (for the foreign country citizens): A) For foreign citizens and the individuals devoid of citizenship, who got complete general or its equivalent education, B ) For the citizens of Georgia, who got complete general or its equivalent education last two years in foreign countires G) For the individuals who study/studied or obtained credits in foreign countries or in the higher educational institutions accredited in compliance with the legislation of the country can be enrolled on the program without taking the national entrance exams on the basis of the decree № 224 / ნ (December 29, 2011) of the Minister of Education and Science of Georgia. If the entrants don’t have English language Certificate FCE (First Certificate in English) the language competence (B2 – Intermediate) is proved on the basis of the University exam in English with the minimal passing rate 60%.
Program goals: The program is designed to equip the student with the skills needed for conceptual decision making (Architect and Designer); the student will gain the knowledge of the basics and essence of architecture and design, principles of development, main aspects and methods of project planning. The student will have the ability to comprehend specificity of the professional field in the historical context, as well as peculiarity of spatial thinking; the student will be able to conduct design work independently and practical architectural activities under the guidance of the supervisor.

  • know peculiarities and stylistics of the modern architecture;
  • know basic stages of modern architecture formation and transformation;

  • know typological groups of building constructions (civil: living and public buildings, industrial, agricultural and engineering buildings);
  • know basic requirements of urban planning development of landscape and recreational spaces;
  • know standards for creating a sustainable and secure urban environment by closed and open space organization;
  • know main directions of ergonomics;
  • know anthropometric data of human;
  • know stages of projecting small objects;
  • know the scale of architectural shapes and its compatibility with the location;
  • know the peculiarities and characteristics of volumetric-spatial design forms and types;
  • know the types of individual residential houses;
  • know the types of multifunctional residential houses;
  • know specificity of planning of separate blocks  of business center (office, eatery and fitness);
  • know the standards of planning supermarket and parking;
  • know laying out the projected material on the tablet and drawing it in

  • know the natural illumination ratio;
  • know architectural acoustics (time of reverberation and geometric acoustics);
  • know peculiarities of designing, constructing and maquetting techniques;
  • know building orthogonal and axonometric plans necessary for displacement of the figures on the surface;
  • know building axonometry according to orthogonal plans;
  • know main geometric figure planning on the three interconnected projection plane and know Monge coordinated diagrams;
  • know basic tasks and methods of transformation of the diagrams;
  • know significant achievements of world art;
  • know the means of constructing, drawing and correcting architectural object in two and three dimensional model in 3D max program.
  • know the means of constructing, drawing and correcting architectural object in two and three dimensional model in AutoCAD.

  • Skills
  • develop the basis of the maquett for the selected object.
  • build perspective according to the orthogonal plan of figure;
  • project and organize the different types of interior and objects spatial environment considering human factors.
  • make house plans, cuts, facades of multifunctional residential house building under the guidance of the instructor.
  • consider architectural factors  in space projection, determining acoustic comfort in open and closed areas;
  • plan and/or renovate interior on particular architectural object under the predetermined instructions.
  • solve planning tasks of any type of architectural object by complex means under the guidance of instructor;
  • use the skills of constructing, drawing and correcting architectural object in two and three dimensional model in AutoCAD.
  • use the skills of constructing, drawing and correcting architectural object in two and three dimensional model in 3D max.
  • Make aesthetic evaluations of artistic-functional elements.
  • make decisions compiling planning, engineering, communication and different styles;
  • create artistic-esthetic imagination ;
  • make specific corrections in drawing architectural object;
  • opt for the relevant style in planning multifunctional residential complex interior considering specificity of interior components.
  • formulate own ideas on the architectural objects and draw conclusions;
  • present performed project draft effectively, applying modern information and communication technologies;

  • conduct dialogue and discussions freely on the basis of gained artistic-aesthetic taste;
