Program permission:	Admission criteria/ prerequisite (for the citizens of Georgia): The students are enrolled on the bachelor programs on the basis of the results of the national entrance exams or on the basis of the decree №224/ნ (December 29, 2011) of the Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, on the basis of the administrative registration and the decree of the Rector. Admission criteria/ prerequisites (for the foreign country citizens): Foreign entrants who completed secondary education abroad or got the education equivalent to it, or/and completed the last two years of secondary education abroad , or students, who lived abroad during last two or more years and studied abroad in higher educational institutions accredited in compliance with the legislation of the host country can be enrolled in the program without taking national entrance exams on the basis of the decree № 224 / ნ (December 29, 2011) of the Minister of Education and Science of Georgia. If the entrants don’t have English language Certificate FCE (First Certificate in English) the language competence (B2 – Intermediate ) is proved on the basis of the University exam in English with the minimal passing rate 60%.

Methods for Attaining Learning Outcomes:
Learning outcomes:	Knowledge and understanding The undergraduate: Names and defines the major historical periods and events of the history of Georgia and world history, from ancient period to the present, on the basis of traditional approaches and latest research in the field; Identifies and recognizes the basics of Archaeology, Historical Geography, Anthropology, Ethnography, Numismatics, Paleography and Epigraphy, Heraldry, Sphragistics and their role in history reconstruction; Defines a diachronic framework of major historical periods (Ancient, Middle Ages, Modern and Contemporary) and the events of the past; Describes and explains changes on local-historical civilizations, as well as Georgia’s and world geopolitical maps in different epochs. Skills The undergraduate: Selects relevant evidence from the wide range of historical sources (“Kartlis Tskhovreba” (The Georgian Chronicles), The Conversion of K‘art‘li, Bill of Rights, W. Wilson’s “Fourteen Points”, etc.), and formulates questions and makes conclusions on the basis of comparison and critical analysis; Analyses the peculiarities of the existence of people (needs, interests, motivations, values, conditions of everyday life), technological progress as well as the features of social and economic relations among people, and makes reasoned conclusions; Reconstructs the picture of the different events and processes in the history of Georgia and world history: political, economic, socio-cultural, civil and human rights, on the basis of the critical understanding of the connection between the present and the past, using bibliographies, and gathering, shifting, selecting, organizing and synthesizing of large volumes of evidence; Applies branches of history and different historical research methods (qualitative, quantitate, historical-comparative, determinism, Kliometrika, etc.) while conducting research on the history of Georgia and world history; Applies information technologies to process, systematize and study historical materials; Interacts with specialists (historians) and non-specialists in written and oral forms using terminology relevant to the B2 level English; Presents research-paper results in written and oral forms in native and English languages, using general academic writing principals and the APA style selected by the university. Responsibility and autonomy The undergraduate Evaluates different values, ideas, and cultures of different countries and nations in different historical periods, as a part of world heritage.
